Hiro Kozato

Chief Executive Officer

Hiro Kozato is the CEO and President of Techpoint since founding the company in 2012. Mr. Kozato was the former founder and CEO of Techwell whom he took public in 2006 and sold Techwell to Intersil for $455 million in 2010. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Kozato was President of Sigmax, a start-up company based in Silicon Valley developing CD-ROM controller chips. Sigmax was sold to Adaptec in 1996. From 1987 to 1994, Mr. Kozato was the Business Controller for Ricoh, a large Japanese electronics conglomerate, where he was responsible for Ricoh's US semiconductor business. Mr. Kozato started his career at Tomen, a large Japanese trading company. Mr. Kozato holds a B.S. in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara.


Feng Kuo

Chief Technology Officer

Feng Kuo is the CTO and cofounder of Techpoint. Dr. Kuo served as the Vice President of Engineering at Intersil Corporation after Intersil had acquired Techwell in in 2010 and served as CTO of Techwell from 1998 to 2010. From 1994 to 1996, Dr. Kuo was the VP of Engineering of Sigmax, a start-up company based in the Silicon Valley developing CD-ROM controller chips. Sigmax was sold to Adaptec in 1996. From 1991 to 1994, Dr. Kuo was a Product Manager at Seiko, where he designed a variety of analog and mixed signal semiconductors. Dr. Kuo started his career at Hypres, a superconductor IC Company. Dr. Kuo holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Taiwan National University and a M.S. and PhD from the Stony Brook University of New York.


Darron Ma

Chief Operating Officer & Vice President of Sales

Darron Ma is the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Sales at Techpoint. Prior to joining Techpoint in October 2013, Mr. Ma served as Vice President and General Manager of the Video Products Group at Conexant Systems, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company, from February 2012 to October 2013. From November 2010 to January 2012, Mr. Ma served as Director of Worldwide Marketing for Video Signal Processing at Intersil Corporation, an analog, mixed-signal semiconductor company. Prior to that, from July 2004 to November 2010, Mr. Ma served in various positions at Techwell Inc., a semiconductor company, including as President and Executive Director, Greater China. Mr. Ma holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Los Angeles.


Michelle Ho
Chief Financial Officer

Michelle Ho is the Chief Financial Officer at Techpoint. Prior to joining Techpoint in 2017, Ms. Ho served as Accounting Manager of International/Cost Accounting at Restoration Robotics, Inc. (Nasdaq: HAIR), a medical device company. From 2013 to 2017, she served as Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant at Tria Beauty, Inc., a skincare technologies company. Ms. Ho holds a B.S. in accounting from University of Pheonix and A.A. in business and accounting from Pasadena City College.

 

Fan Kung

Vice President of Operations

Fan Kung is the Vice President of Operations at Techpoint. Prior to joining Techpoint in 2018, Mr. Kung was the QA Manager at Sigma Designs from 2004 to 2018. From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Kung was the Product Engineering manager at ZettaCom. Mr. Kung was the Sr. Operations Manager at Acorn Networks from 2000 to 2001 and at Vertex Networks from 1997 to 2000. Mr. Kung had started his career of over 20 years at Oak Technology from 1992 to 1997 as a Sr. Product Engineer. Mr. Kung received his B.S. degree in Applied Physics from Tamkang University in Taiwan and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology.

 

Hiroshi Kondo
Vice President of Corporate Marketing & President of Techpoint Japan K.K.

From 1999 to 2021 Mr. Kondo worked as General Manager/Director for the IPO department in Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd., one of the leading investment bank and brokerage houses in Japan. He started his career as an IPO consultant, including advising on legal disclosure, corporate governance, accounting, compliance and etc., in order to pass the listing examination by the stock exchange and the authorities in 1985 in Yamaichi Securities Co., Ltd. After Yamaichi ceased operations in 1998, he worked for Sumitomo Capital Securities Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Sumitomo Bank, currently Daiwa Securities) and IBJ Securities Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of The Industrial Bank of Japan, currently Mizuho Securities) to introduce the equity underwriting business for bank-affiliated securities houses which were only licensed to handle debt securities at that time. Throughout his career as an IPO consultant, he advised hundreds of IPO ideas and accomplished more than 60 IPOs, additional listings and step-up listings. Mr. Kondo holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo.
